Excellent Article on the Importance of Doctrine

I just read this article by my former pastor Jim Elliff. It is so absolutely important. I encourage each and everyone who has been reading my blog to check it out at http://www.ccwonline.org/doctimp.html

In this article he is talking about one of the greatest downfalls of modern day Christians--an Intentional Doctrinal Imprecision. We live in a day where most people, Yea, most Christians, celebrate uncertainty. Most Christians pride themselves on not busying themselves with doctrine. They pride themselves on being "practical" Christians as opposed to doctrinal. This is a false dichotomy. This neglect of doctrine, according to Jim, is not an option. Doctrinal precision is mandated by God in His Word.

I am lovin' all of those pictures!
There is nothing like a Mamma with her first son! Krystal, we now know what Eve and Sarah and Hannah and Mary felt when they held the first fruits of their wombs! What a kind Father to give His children such gifts as these!

HiJimmy & Kris,

I read this in a book this afternoon and it was so comforting to me so I wanted to share it with you.

The works of God, being an extension of His character, are also perfect. The implications of this truth are tremendous and should produce in us a confidence that will prevail against the greatest doubts and the most difficult trials. All that God has ever done or ever will do, in the universe and in each of us, is perfect.

Psalm 18:30
As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the Lord is tried;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

Love you three
